With her distinctive traditional profile, the 800 passenger Ocean Countess joined the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet in
April 2010 under charter from the widely respected and long established Majestic International Cruises Group. The ship originally entered service as the Cunard Countess and became one of the best-known ships to sail the Caribbean Sea. Cruise & Maritime Voyages aim to offer a more traditional and leisurely style ‘no fly’ cruising and maritime experience where the emphasis is very much on providing attentive service within a friendly ‘home from home’ atmosphere.
On board public facilities include the comfortable Holyrood Show Lounge, the Tower Piano Bar on Lido Deck with its panoramic views, well-stocked library and card tables and, by contrast, Hamptons is the place to be for late night entertainment and to try your luck in the casino. Ocean Countess offers traditional two sitting dining in the Kensington Restaurant or, as an alternative, enjoy a light lunch at the Boat House on Upper Deck or by the pool on Lido Deck (both subject to weather conditions). During the evening, the Boat House becomes a delightful venue for pre-dinner drinks and to chat with fellow passengers after another wonderful day ashore.
In addition, Ocean Countess provides a shopping gallery, internet café, gym with sauna and spa, and massage, hairdressing and beauty facilities. She offers extensive deck areas, deck games, a generous size heated swimming pool, two whirlpools and a pool bar.
Stylish Entertainment
A superb programme of stylish daytime and evening entertainment has been arranged plus informative guest lectures given by a food and wine expert. Following dinner the highly acclaimed show team display their talents in a colourful floorshow complemented with our carefully chosen guest entertainers from Ireland. And our late night cabaret in Hamptons will ensure that your evenings keep going with a swing.
All this is included in the fare:-

There are delights to be found around every corner on this fascinating voyage.
Sailing from Dublin, call first at Liverpool offering a wealth of history and heritage. A relaxing two days at sea offers the opportunity to enjoy the on board facilities, daytime activities and evening entertainment. Your first call is Lisbon, Portugal’s capital and architectural treat, reflecting the Age of Discovery when the city was at its peak. Funchal on ‘the garden isle’ of Madeira nestles in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by sheltering slopes. Explore the lively waterfront and charming old town of narrow cobbled streets. Pretty Santa Cruz de La Palma, once a port connecting routes to the Americas, retains a legacy of colonial buildings and traditional architecture. La Palma features the Caldera de Taburiente, one of the most impressive volcanic craters in the world. Dominated by Mount Teide, Tenerife is renowned for its beach resorts and the island’s capital of Santa Cruz offers tempting shops and restaurants.
Sail across to the island of Lanzarote and the bustling city of Arrecife to stroll along the magnificent seafront promenade. Visit the slopes of Fire Mountain and discover an island of extraordinary lunar landscapes before sailing to Agadir, a thriving port with a cosmopolitan seaside resort, hill-top Kasbah and colourful souk. Your final call is Vigo, where the strong maritime history has left an appealing old town with a labyrinth of narrow streets. Enjoy your last night aboard Ocean Countess as you sail back to Liverpool. Disembark in Liverpool. Optional Package - Coach transfer from Liverpool to Chester for an overnight there on 22nd October, including dinner and breakfast, plus coach and ferry back to Dublin for an additional GB£80pp sharing
